The paths the Giants and Jets have chosen are littered with not just potholes, but cracks and speed bumps, too. A lot of road work hassles crop up for teams that haven’t reached the postseason since 2016 and 2010, respectively.
What the past few days have helped to expose, though, is that there probably would have been weeds along some of the other routes they could have taken, too.
Let’s start with the Giants, who looked like one of the stronger teams in the league during a well-played, 23-16 win over the Raiders, in which their defense made the difference.
