It’s appropriate the Yankees and A’s are meeting on Labor Day, because both teams have been laboring a little of late.
Two key factors you need to look at in this pitching matchup: The Yankees’ CC Sabathia is 2-3 on the road this season with an ERA of 4.27, more than a run and a half higher than his 2.61 home ERA. Oakland’s Trevor Cahill lost his last two starts, but both were on the road. At home he’s 4-0 this season with an ERA of 0.85 and a whip of 0.76.
The play: CC is from the Bay Area, but I’m not going against Cahill and the real home team, the A’s.
