A couple of bumbling kidnappers drove up the East Coast with their prisoner — only to get busted on the George Washington Bridge on Thursday, sources said.
Cops pulled over two men and arrested them at around 10:50 a.m. in connection to a possible abduction, according to law enforcement sources.
The pair had driven all the way from Georgia with a man they had allegedly kidnapped, the sources said.
New Jersey State police issued a look-out alert for the men’s 2014 black Toyota Camry – and Port Authority cops conducting an unrelated drill on the New Jersey side of the bridge eventually spotted it and pulled them over.
After being asked to get out of the car, the man sitting in the front passenger seat told cops that the suspects had restrained and roughed him up during the day-long ride, sources said.
He suffered a stab or puncture wound to his right leg along the way, cops said.
The victim also claimed that the suspect sitting in the back seat of the car had been threatening him with a loaded 9mm Glock handgun, which police later recovered.
Police believe the trio had been arguing over drugs or stolen property when the two men took the other captive, the sources said.
The alleged captors were taken into custody on suspicion of armed kidnapping, but have yet to be charged, according to police.
The injured man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
