Mayor Bloomberg‘s radio days are over – at least for now.
His weekly appearance on WABC has been canceled, after six years, in the wake of the firing of radio host John Gambling.
Gambling’s successor, Curtis Sliwa, will do a nationally syndicated show that will not focus on local news, its producers say.
It’s not clear whether Bloomberg’s Friday show will be picked up by another station.
Said Bloomberg spokesman Stu Loeser, “We are going to weigh our options carefully as we move forward.”
